About the Artist

Where the forest ends and magic begins.

✦

Some people find inspiration in galleries. She found hers beneath the trees.

Born and raised in a small town in Northern Michigan, Bralyn has always felt most at home among the trees, wandering paths, and quiet places where imagination seems to come naturally.

The Beginning

The woods
were her
first studio.

Some of her earliest and happiest memories were made in the woods with her father. While he worked in the beautiful forests and backwaters around places like Tippy Dam, she would hop out of his truck and run free.

She explored, imagined, collected little treasures, and discovered the kind of magic that can only be found when a child is given the freedom to wander.

Long before she knew what her artistic future might look like, the woods were already teaching her to notice the little things—the shape of a leaf, the character of a creature, the colors hiding in the forest floor, and the stories that seem to live quietly among the trees.

The Winding Path

The path wasn’t always straight.

Art was always part of the dream. She grew up with aspirations of pursuing an artistic future, but a lifelong journey with Type 1 diabetes, an unfortunate automobile accident, and eventually early arthritis changed the path she had imagined.

Her college aspirations were put aside, and for a while, so was her art.

But creativity has a way of waiting patiently.

Even during the years away from creating, her eye for beauty, color, texture, and story never disappeared.

Finding Her Way Back

A different way
to tell a story.

When drawing became more difficult, she found new ways to express herself—combining carefully crafted ink and watercolor with an ever-growing collection of vintage stamps, found imagery, and charming artifacts gathered over the years.

Somewhere along the way, she discovered a style that was entirely her own.

The Magic of Making

Made to bring
a little wonder
into the world.

Each piece is created with the hope that it might bring a little of that childhood magic into someone else’s world—a bit of warmth to a room, a smile to a friend, or perhaps even happy tears to the eyes of someone you love.
